The coastline of West Wales is an undiscovered gem. The picturesque harbour town of Aberaeron has several great restaurants. New Quay is for dolphin watching, Llangrannog has a spectacular beach and cliffs and Cai Bach is for fires, dogs and safe swimming.
There are excellent opportunities for walking in the mountains in the Elenydd, Teifi Pools and Devil’s Bridge area, mountain biking in Brechfa and Nant Arian forests, canoeing and kayaking on the Teifi at Llandysul.
There are 3 NT properties nearby, Llanerchaereon country house and estate, Dolaucothi Gold Mines, underground tours for all, even young children, and Dinefwr Castle. There is also the spectacular Carreg Cennen Castle, gardens at Aberglasney and the National Botanical Garden of Wales. All are very family friendly.
