Six large pitches and pathways are mown from the meadow. The longer grass gives each pitch a sense of privacy. There is no vehicular access to the field. Large handcarts are provided, or tractor and trailer for larger groups. One the riverside terrace there is a communal fireplace with prepared firewood and kindling available.
There are 2 unisex cubicles, with hand basins, a shower cubicle and a wash up area; all have hot water. Mobile phones can be charged in the toilet block and we can refreeze your cooler blocks for you.
Campers are welcome to bring BBQ’s and fire bowls to use on their own pitch as long as they are off the ground and do not scorch the field.
Dogs are welcome, (we have two of our own), but they need to be on the lead on the site. We have an adjacent meadow where they can be exercised and have maps for local dog walks.
We have a 5 metre bell tent available for hire. It has sleeping room for 4, with a double bed and two single camp beds, just bring your own bedding. The use of the outdoor kitchen is included in the price of £50 per night for the hire of the tent. We have a smaller teepee style tent with 2 or 3 single mattresses available for £30 per night if you want the kids to have their own space. They are both fitted out with carpets and LED lights to give that little bit of luxury
Doesn’t matter if the weather is inclement, plenty of room under cover in the Outdoor Kitchen.
The kitchen is fully equipped, 3 gas rings, a charcoal BBQ, a gas BBQ, a clay pizza oven, crockery, cutlery, utensils and pans for twelve people.
Large boxes are available to store your supplies with a small larder fridge for the perishables.
The kitchen is available for use between 8am – 8pm at £5 per person per day and includes all fuels and complimentary hot drinks. The use of the kitchen is included with the hire of the glamping tent.
We will most likely fire up Idris, the clay pizza oven while you are here. We’ll get the dough going, you provide your favourite toppings.
Idris is also great for breads and slow cooking. If you are planning a day on site and have time to stoke the oven, try some lovely local meat or some pulses.
